Since she can remember, dancing has always been a big
part of Theresa’s life. Born into a family with an older sister who was already attending dance lessons at the local dance school, she was inspired to follow
in her footsteps.
At the age of 4, Theresa began attending Cecchetti ballet classes with Helen Clarke at 'The Clarke School of Ballet and Modern Dance' in Northamptonshire. She enjoyed this so much that a year later she also started classes in Modern and Tap. It was in these first years of dancing where she met fellow dancer Francesca Wales. Instantly striking a strong friendship, the pair have continued to dance together for over 20 years.
During these early years, Theresa found her true love for dancing and would take every opportunity to share this with her family, often putting on shows for them with her sister.

Whilst at dancing school, Theresa took part in Cecchetti's prestigious 'Mable Ryan Awards', bi-annual
performances and completed a number of examinations in Cecchetti Ballet, Modern
Theatre Dance & Tap with the I.S.T.D Faculty.
In 1999, the school changed
ownership and became the 'Emily Dee School of
Dance' and Theresa continued to study and perform with the school until she went to
University in 2004.
Whilst at University, Theresa took a break from dance to
focus on her degree. She graduated in 2007 with a BA (Hons) in Advertising and
Design and within the same year took a job working as part of a Marketing
Department where she continues to work today as Assistant Marketing Manager.
During her time studying for her degree, Theresa realised how much
she missed dancing so once graduated, she returned to dance school.
After many months of discussion, Theresa was delighted to be
approached by Francesca to be part of 'Launch
Dance Company' in 2012 and is looking forward to being able to work together
with a group of people who share the same drive and passion as she does.
Theresa continues to dance and perform in bi-annual shows
with Emily Dee, and is keen to complete vocational examinations in Ballet, Modern and Tap with the I.S.T.D in the coming year.
In 2013, she is looking forward to developing with 'Launch' and is very excited about the
debut performance in July. Alongside this, Theresa is also driven to begin
developing her other passion, baking, with the ambition to bake cakes and
cookies for her local town.
